Every request, from a charity good-governance review to establishing a 'family office', is different, and thus we do not have a 'one size fits all' solution. As an example of our process and how we operate:

Understand: we get to know You and Your

  • Aims
  • Structure
  • Governance
  • Investment requirements
  • Environmental, social and governance (ESG) and Socially responsible investment (SRI) issues
  • Suitability of investments

Action: we assist with the management of

  • ‘Good governance’ reviews
  • Writing the Investment Policy Statement (for charities within CC14 guidelines)
  • Writing a ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP)
  • Consolidating and assessing RFP responses
  • Investment manager selection
  • Organising and advising on the ‘beauty parade’
  • Simplifying investment management jargon and complexities

Review: we carry out an investment health check or 'good-governance' review focusing upon

  • Performance
  • Strategic and tactical asset allocation
  • Risk and volatility parameters
  • Benchmarking
  • Adherence to restrictions including ESG and SRI
  • Fees

Implement: we carry out implementation of

  • An asset allocation strategy
  • Regular portfolio reviews
  • Monitoring of portfolio(s) to ensure that they achieve their stated aim(s)
  • On-going review:
    • Retained to attend investment meetings
    • A sounding and advisory board on an ad hoc basis

Charges: we charge based on time (hour, day, project), not based on Assets under Management. Our fees are transparent and, we believe, competitive.
